Why Oiling

 

Why: The goal of scalp oiling is to maintain the acid mantle and lipid barrier, using occlusion to keep the skin supple. This process, paired with massage, increases blood flow and oxygen delivery to the bulb.

 

What:  To avoid dandruff (Seborrheic Dermatitis) and irritation, you must avoid over saturation. Fungi like Malassezia feed on specific fatty acids found in many plant oils.
